Related work experience, projects and qualifications:

  • UCL Transition Mentor: Working as mentor on behalf of the department (EEE) offering advice to first year students and answering any questions they may have whether if it is about the course or well being. This involves running hourly sessions every week for 8 sessions where each week is associated with a theme. Theses may include study tips, making the most of the available resources at university or simply well being advice.
  • Hackathon 2024: A team competition on digital innovation. To tackle the issues surrounding the healthcare sector, the team devised a platform that allows the elderly and disabled to connect with medical services, facilitate telemedicine, join communities and build a profile that is analyzed to provide a personalized experience and pattern recognition. This project finished runners up within its category.
  • Project X by Fleming’s society: Assisted with the sessions where students from Newham Collegiate Sixth Form would come into the lab and learn about electronic engineering. Throughout the five sessions, the students would take on an Arduino-based 7 segment display project as well as incorporating other 1/0 devices into the build. As a student mentor, my role is to ensure students are able to have their circuits and code function correctly in hope that they can maximise the learning experience.
  • Science For All (SFA) - Co-founded a student-led initiative that involves distributing STEM boxes to less privileged Students around Thailand which allowed the tean to transmit our passion and inspire younger students to become change-makers.
  • 'GenMeeFun' Leadership Activity - Working with a youth-led organisation, whose aim is to help you achieve your edueational goals, and in teams putting together an online webinar for over 20 prospeetive medieine students, inviting current students and graduates to offer their experiences.

Descriptive Personal Statement:

Currently an undergraduate student studying electronic and electrical engineering. This is a degree with a lot of emphasis in mathematics and physics that in return equips me with a toolkit of strategies and techniques to use to solve engineering and design problems. As a passionate engineer and problem solver, I am always looking for opportunities to share my knowledge with others, providing them with a similar toolkit An area I can really lend a hand is for those studying for international examinations, which is also a situation I have been in before and have an all-round experience with. Hopefully these skills and experiences that I can share will be useful for others in their own ways along their journey.
